Nekozane Coffee
A moment to unwind in the city.
At Nekozane Coffee in Urayasu, Chiba, clean-tasting house blends, Tokibi Café au Lait, signature cat-shaped monaka, and whole-wheat scones accompany peaceful cafe moments.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
The appeal of Nekozane Coffee (猫実珈琲店) lies in a lineup of coffees thoughtfully tailored to whatever mood or pace suits your day. Distinctive house roasts include the signature Nekozane Blend, an easy-drinking Ethiopia-based cup with a clean finish, alongside the bright, fruity Ukiuki Blend and the deep, dark-roast Botto Blend crafted for quiet immersion. If you are looking for something gentler, options are just as varied, from Tokibi Café au Lait lightly sweetened with cane sugar to cold-brew iced coffee extracted drop by drop over eight hours.
The cafe's signature Nekozane Monaka, shaped charmingly like a cat, is an ideal companion beside any cup. Filled with notes of walnut and citrus inside its crisp wafer shell, it pairs naturally with the bitterness and aroma of coffee, offering pleasing contrast with every bite. Whole-wheat scones—available with toppings such as whipped cream, sweet red bean paste and butter, or cream cheese and honey—along with rotating seasonal cakes round out the cafe experience.
With just a few tables set amid books and small ornaments, the quiet, relaxed dining room offers a calm respite from everyday routines. Whether you sit down for a leisurely break or pick up monaka to go as a gift, it makes a delightful stop while exploring the Nekozane neighborhood of Urayasu.
